For Maximum Performance Use with the PNX Release of NT Driver Library, and
NT Server Clients!

First of all let me make it clear that this is *NOT* intended to be a
declaration of a warez war.
This is the *REAL FiNAL RELEASE* of Microsoft Windows NT Workstation
Version 3.5. We ARJ'ed up the files from the CD-ROM. This will only install
Intel based PC's. If we hear a large demand for the MIPS or AlphaαXP version
we will probably release it!
Well lets get to business. PWA has released a supposed FiNAL RELEASE
NT Workstation and NT Server. It actually was the FiNAL release until the
DAYTONA Beta Team found more bugs in the FiNAL Release. So the guys at Redmond
debuged and recompiled the programs so they can show the *BUG FREE* version of
NT at Windows World at Dallas at the end of last month.
Our version has the date of 09-04-94 and time of 08:07, meanwhile
the PWA version has the date of 09-04-94 and the time of 17:07. I can not
explain why Microsoft reduced the time 9 hours for the final release, but we
have confirmed it with a Microsoft Employee so do not worry.
So, all the OEM's who had the old release of NT are pissed at
Microsoft. And then again no one in the elite scene has noticed this either.
Well, we at PNX have verfied it with an Microsoft employee about the
recompilation. He will be kept alias for security reasons but, he says that
the copy we are packageing is the Final or the so called shrink wrapped
version. The file dates are the same but the time stamps are different. Ours
has a time stamp earlier than that of PWA's but that does not mean that it was
made earlier. According to the alias source Microsoft happens to predate
and postdate software very frequently.
So if you want the real Bug Free, Shrink Wrapped Version of the NT
Server download this program. We feel that no one in the scene should
blame PWA, Les Manley, Dark Lord, and Blackhawk are awesome guys! Although I
must admit that Bill is a nice guy, I IRC'ed with him once, sometimes he makes
pathetic mistakes!
Well what can I say, for quality UTILs go with PHOENiX'94 truely the
best in the scene!

Procedures for Installation or Setup
1. UNZIP all the file into one directory.
2 Run UNARJ.BAT from the directory to write the files to a Network
drive, or an alternate drive on the Server.
Note in the Default UNARJ.BAT File the Alternate Directory is Considered "F:\"
if your Network Drive or Alternate Drive is not the F: Drive Change it so
X:\ <= where X equals the alternate or Network Drive
3. Have Ready 3 blank, formatted, high density floppy disks of the correct
size for your computer's A drive, and have an additional disk of the same
size that will be formatted during setup.
4. Be sure to label the formatted disks "Setup Boot Disk," "Setup Disk #2,"
and "Setup Disk #3," so you can differentiate them when Windows NT Setup
requests a specific disk. Label the forth disk "Emergency Repair Disk."
5. If you are using WINNT, use your existing MS-DOS -based network software to
connect to the shared network directory that contains the Windows NT Server
Master Files.
-Or-
If you are using WINNT or WINNT32, use File Manager to switch to the
network directory that contains the master files of the new version of
Windows NT Server
-Or-
Switch to the alternates Drives, while Running MS-DOS, change to the
ALTERNATEdrive:\I386 dirctory on the drive
6. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type WINNT and the press enter
-Or-
If your computer is running Windows NT Server, double click WINNT32.EXE in
the directory that contains the Windows NT Server master files
7. When you are asked to confirm the Windows NT Server source directory, type
the path for the directory where the Master files are stored (this is the
same directory you switched to in Step 5)
8. When prompted, insert the blank, formatted high density floopy disk labeled
Setup Disk #3 into drive A. After some files are copied to Setup Disk #3,
you will then be prompted to insert the high-density floppy disk labeled
Setup Disk #2 and then the Setup Boot Disk in drive A. This process creates
the startup disk required for Setup.
After the neccesary files are transferred, a message asks you to press
ENTER to restart the computer.
9. Follow the instructions on screen to complete Setup.
Make sure you keep the Emergency Repair DIsk that WINNT creates during
installation. If you have problems with your installation, you may need these
disk to repair your operating system.
