综述
Internet Explorer，原称Microsoft Internet Explorer，在7.0发布时改名为Windows Internet Explorer。简称IE。在IE7以前，官方中文直译为“网络探路者”，但IE7发布时官方便直接称呼为Internet Explorer.该网页浏览器基于微软 Trident 内核，该内核引用的所有函数在MSHTML.dll文件里。而在Internet Explorer 9时，微软向该浏览器引入了一款全新的JavaScript 引擎
得到IE
1995年，微软通过给予季度费用和部分收入从Spyglass中取得了Spyglass Mosaic的源代码和授权。从而使IE逐渐成为微软专属软件。

Internet Explorer:开发历程
Internet Explorer 1.0
Internet Explorer项目于1994年夏天由Thomas Reardon开始开发，根据麻省理工学院2003年的研究报告，IE曾经使用Spyglass，Inc。Mosaic的源代码，这是一个早期的商业网络浏览器，正式与开创性的国家超级计算应用中心（NCSA）马赛克浏览器联系在一起。
1994年底，微软以季度费用加上Spyglass Mosaic的许可，加上微软非Windows软件收入的百分比。
虽然名称类似于NCSA Mosaic，但Spyglass Mosaic却谨慎地使用了NCSA Mosaic源代码。
第一个版本，名为Microsoft Internet Explorer，于1995年8月16日首次亮相。
