综述

Windows Server 2016 Essential (Codename “Redstone Essentials Server”)又名Windows Server 2016 精华版。 对于目前使用Windows Server 2012 R2 Foundation的客户而言，Essentials Edition是很好的选择。

新功能与特性

Essentials Edition适用于最多25名使用者，最多50部装置的小型企业， Windows Server 2016不提供Foundation Edition.Essentials Edition的授权将继续以伺服器为单位，不需要CAL，此版本系提供执行单一作业系统环境（OSE）的权利。
