Office 2019 is now available!

Description
Microsoft announced today that Office 2019 is now available for volume licensed customers to download and deploy to their users. Project 2019, Visio 2019, and Office 2019 for Mac are also now available. For more information, see the Office 2019 is now available for Windows and Mac blog post.

 To get started, review the Office 2019 system requirements.

If you’re deploying Office 2019 on Windows, do the following:

If you’re using KMS or Active Directory-based activation, download the Office 2019 Volume License Pack from the Microsoft Download Center and install the license files on your KMS host server.
Sign into the Volume Licensing Service Center and get your KMS or MAK client activation keys for Office 2019.
Download and deploy Office 2019 by using the Office Deployment Tool.

If you’re deploying Office 2019 for Mac, do the following:

Download Office 2019 for Mac from the Office Content Delivery Network (CDN) on the internet and deploy to your users.
Sign into the Volume Licensing Service Center and download the Volume License (VL) Serializer package and deploy to each computer running Office 2019 for Mac.

Office 2019 Preview ends on December 31, 2018

The activation keys used in the Office 2019 Preview program expire on December 31, 2018. After that date, Office 2019 Preview, including Office 2019 Preview for Mac, will go into reduced functionality mode and you’ll only be able to read and print documents using Office 2019 Preview. You will get periodic warnings about this in your Office apps, such as Word, starting in early December.

The Office 2019 Preview program on Microsoft Collaborate will also be closed after December 31, 2018. If you want to provide feedback about Office 2019, go to File > Feedback in any of the Office apps.

 Updating from Office 2019 Preview to Office 2019 on Windows

If you’re a volume licensed customer that’s licensed for Office 2019 and you want to update Office 2019 Preview to Office 2019, you don’t need to uninstall Office 2019 Preview. You just need to activate that installation with the appropriate KMS or MAK client activation key for your organization. For more information about how to do this, see Update Office 2019 Preview to Office 2019.

If you’re not a volume licensed customer, you need to purchase Office 2019. After you purchase Office 2019, you need to uninstall Office 2019 Preview before installing Office 2019. Office 2019 will be available to non-volume licensed customers at a later date.

 Updating from Office 2019 Preview for Mac to Office 2019 for Mac

If you’re a volume licensed customer that’s licensed for Office 2019 for Mac and you want to update Office 2019 Preview for Mac to Office 2019 for Mac, you don’t need to uninstall Office 2019 Preview for Mac. You just need to download the Volume License (VL) Serializer package from the VLSC and deploy to each computer running Office 2019 Preview for Mac.

If you’re not a volume licensed customer, you don’t need to uninstall Office 2019 Preview for Mac. But, you need to purchase Office 2019 for Mac. Then, run the license removal tool, and activate your existing installation.
