目前已泄露的Beta 1阶段版本并未内置Small Business相关系统组件。这些组件（例如Active Directory的自动配置）的加入最少需要等到Build 2576。

- 电子邮件、网络和Internet连接
Internet连接是现今小型企业中小型企业的必备条件之一。
Windows Small Business Server 2003包含小型企业中小型企业连接Internet所需的全部工具。
这些开箱即用的工具提供了易于管理的Internet访问共享解决方案，局域网防火墙，基于Exchange Server的Internet电子邮件，例如适用于生产力软件Outlook 的Web Access生产效率工具，以及帮助用户通过连接至Internet的任意计算机进行协同工作的Remote Web Workplace。
- 基于Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services的中小型企业Intranet
Windows Small Business Server 2003预置了一个基于Windows SharePoint Services的内部网站。
